Honestly, I’m not picking on Ann Romney. She’s been suffering from terrible illnesses; she’s had to endure being married to Willard; and, whether she asked for it or not, she’s been pushed into the limelight by her husband and his campaign staff.
Unfortunately, having landed there, she’s proved to be just as verbally inept as her spouse. For example…
GREEN BAY, Wis. – Ann Romney defended her husband’s sense of humor today during a radio interview, explaining that if people think the candidate seems too stiff at times as the host suggested, she thinks “we better unzip him and let the real Mitt Romney out.”
Hmmm… Did she just say that if you unzip her husband you’ll find that he’s not too stiff? and that that will be evidence of his sense of humor? Most heterosexual married couples don’t really think it’s humorous to unzip the man and find that he’s not too stiff.

Please, Ms. Romney! Do not allow your husband’s handlers to, well, handle you this way. You can’t help Willard’s campaign, but you can – and will – subject yourself to ridicule and embarrassment.
